Midnight watch again, a few lights around. They must be other yachts as they seem to get no closer or further away. The sky is very clear overhead. Many more stars than seen at home. There have also been some good shooting stars.
After breakfast, the gennaker comes down. The rip turns out to be a piece of tape replecting the sunlight. There is relief that it was a false alarm, but now the sail has to go back up. After some fun with the furling mechanism, the sail is up eventually. Beers all round. It is 10.15.
Afternoon spent lazing again. The fishing is unsucessful so far. Emails from family, positions of other boats, and most importantly, the weather have not come in. We find out that the ISP and BT have a problem back in the UK. The wind starts to pick up around 22.00. Gusts over 20kts. We are doing over 7kts average speed over the ground.
