We are still doing around 8kts. The sea state makes food preparation interesting. Pouring milk on cereal becomes quite an art. It would have been even worse had we been on a mono hull rather than a catamaran. We are more stable and have more space to move around. Very important with a group of people in a small space. We have spent a little time tidying up, at Terry's instigation. He must be missing something from home.
Lunch today was chicken and pepper enchiladas courtesy of Paul. Also we allowed ourselves a plastic of wine. Woo hoo!
We have just put a couple of reefs in the main sail. This reduces its area for use in stringer winds which are forecast for tonight, gusts over 25kts. We are still making good time. We are slowly making up ground lost while heading south to pick up the trade winds. The sea is rougher, but the rolling and pitching is worth it to get the speed.
Jam sandwich for tea, then I am on first watch from 20.00 to 22.00.
